Alkinoos Balatsinos

Studied civil engineering at the Polytechnic of Thrace, Greece. As a student he received a European Union award and spent time working for Winnie and Partners in England. Has been chartered since 1989 and a public works contractor since 1992. He started the office in 1990. Has been a member of the board of the Technical Chamber of Greece in Corfu and chairs the board of the Union of Public Works Contractors in Corfu. Has developed special skills on construction management and is in charge of the management of all projects.

Dimitrios Balatsinos

After qualifying in civil engineering at Portsmouth Polytechnic he received a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering at the University of Bradford in the UK (1989) and a Masters Degree in the History of European Cities at the Department of History of the Ionian University in Greece (2000).

After leaving England he worked for the Ministry of Culture of Greece as a co-ordinator of the local office of Corfu on a variety of projects concerning the restoration of the fortifications of the town of Corfu.

In 1995 he joined Corfu Developers and took charge of design projects.

WHAT WE DO

The practice is engaged with design of private projects as well as contracting for the private and public sector. Our activity on the consulting field ranges from the design of housing projects, swimming pools and shops to the restoration of listed buildings. On the field of contracting the activity is split in between contracting for the public (schools, squares, road signposting, etc) and private sector.
